"The Thrill" lives on in my household like he is still in the game today. Though he has been retired since 2000, his accomplishments in the game will never be forgotten. He came into the game with a "bang" when he homered off of Nolan Ryan on his first ever swing in the big leagues, to hitting a home run in his final regular season game ever as well. He was a PURE hitter with a sweet swing, that could hit to ALL fields. A line drive hitter, that could hit for power and had a good eye at the plate. A Gold Glove Award winning First basemen that had winning on his mind!
